Originally from Boston, I started my career in events and catering over 14 years ago, working as a catering manager at two of that city’s premier hotels, The Boston Park Plaza Hotel and The Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel. It was there that I learned the “biz” working with the city’s top event planners, photographers, linen companies, florists etc.  I planned weddings and events of all sizes, from 5 guests to 500, and realized that I wanted to do the same thing on a larger scale in a bigger city.  I eventually moved to Chicago to pursue my passion, and had the opportunity to work for three of the city’s most prestigious hotels, the Sheraton Chicago where I was the “wedding specialist” the Hilton Chicago as a Senior Catering Manager and The Drake Hotel as the Senior Catering Sales Manager and Wedding Specialist.

Since joining the LOLA team, I haven’t looked back! Every day is different, and I thrive on getting to know my clients and their families, while walking them through all of the details, questions, concerns, and worries of planning their perfect wedding or event!  Where else could I do a job where I get to become a new ‘BFF,’ project manager, designer, decorator, accountant, and sometimes therapist?!?!

My inspiration comes from nature, and natural beauty.  I think that things that are overdone can lose their beauty quickly.  To me Happy=Beauty! When I am around people and places that are beautiful on the inside they quickly become naturally beautiful outside as well – from the grand gestures to the small personal details.  My personal promise with the experience of planning over 300 weddings in my career is to work with you to deliver a flawless event with a warm smile, calm demeanor, professional attitude, and most importantly making it a positive and enjoyable experience throughout!

Personally, I married the man of my dreams, Erik, in 2007.  We recently made the move from downtown to Bolingbrook, and while we love calling Chicago home, are still die hard Red Sox Fans!
